Vázquez: “We're on a good run and we have to keep going.”
The defender speaks after the 1-1 draw
The scorer of Valencia CF's second goal against Celtic in the away leg of their UEFA Europa League tie, Denis Cheryshev formed a killer combination with new teammate Rubén Sobrino at Celtic Park.
The performance was the latest impressive showing for the Russian, who had also scored against Real Betis in the Copa del Rey, set up a goal for Rodrigo in the comeback against Getafe and shone against FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
"We're taking away a great result. The team were very compact in defence and we took advantage of the few mistakes Celtic made. We leave Celtic Park very happy," said Cheryshev after the game.
"We're getting that little bit of luck that we were lacking before, we're scoring goals and we have to continue working in the same way -both those who are playing more, and those who are featuring less frequently. Everyone is going to be important right to the end," he added.
"Now we have to focus on the next game, on Sunday against RCD Espanyol. They are going to make things very difficult for us, but we have Mestalla behind us and we will be keen for the victory."
